Why use a professional photographer after all my uncle has a really nice digital camera?

Nearly anyone these days can take a picture but its the professional photographer who makes the picture.

The thing is a lot of non-professional photographers or snap shooters lack the knowledge of compostion and lighting. Getting a properly composed photograph with the right lighting is often a matter of chance or accident. What you get with a non-professional is a snapshot.

We're not saying don't use your uncle or whoever. What we are saying is look at their previous photos. In fact in choosing any photographer for photographing any special occasion whether its a wedding, barmitzpha, senior portrait, corporate portrait, reunion photos or whatever - have a look at the photos they've taken (this includes us).

After inspecting their photos you decide if this is the quality of work you need and want. If it is go with them if not find someone who presents the quality and service you want.
